Fighting the summer to catch up on progress, the construction battle is in full swing. In recent days, the Yancheng Datao Second Line Ship Lock Project on the Lianshen Line from Huangxiang River to Huai River Estuary Waterway, a key provincial water transport project, has been battling high temperatures and scorching heat, closely monitoring key milestones, scientifically organizing construction, advancing the project without any setbacks, and striving to achieve construction goals.
The construction site is filled with waves of heat, with more than 20 large engineering machines and over a hundred construction workers maintaining high morale, simultaneously advancing the main structure construction such as ship lock base slab pouring, earth excavation, and upper and lower lock heads, presenting a vibrant and bustling scene. Currently, 35% of the ship lock main structure has been completed, and 30% of the soft foundation treatment for the pilot channel has been finished.
Next, the project team will launch an all-around day-and-night campaign, emphasizing safety, speeding up the schedule, and ensuring quality, comprehensively advancing all processes. With a stronger sense of mission and more tenacious fighting spirit, they will strive to achieve the project’s goal of becoming a "Provincial and Ministerial Level Safe and Century-Quality Project," ensuring the project progresses with high quality, high standards, and high efficiency.
The Yancheng Datao Second Line Ship Lock Project is a core part of the Lianshen Line channel improvement project, built to a secondary navigation standard with a maximum designed ship tonnage of 2,000 tons. The main construction includes the ship lock main structure, lock bridge, and working bridge. Upon completion, the project will break the navigation bottleneck of the main north-south water transport channel in Yancheng, significantly and profoundly enhancing external traffic connections for the Yellow Sea New Area, serving the development of Jiangsu’s coastal areas, the construction of the Huai River ecological economic belt, and the implementation of the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy.
