He emphasized the need to firmly establish the concept of safe development, always adhere to putting people and life first, apply high standards and strict requirements throughout the entire project construction process, and firmly maintain the bottom line of safety production; to scientifically organize construction, strengthen element guarantees, ensure the orderly advancement of major transportation infrastructure construction, and accelerate the integrated fusion, safety enhancement, intelligent upgrading, and green transformation of transportation infrastructure.
The expansion and renovation project of the Jianbi First Line Ship Lock is the pioneering and controlling node project of the "Three Renovations and Two Upgrades" project of the Southern Jiangsu Canal. The ship lock measures 370×34×6 meters, and upon completion, it will become a super ship lock with an annual cargo throughput of up to 170 million tons, the largest single-step ship lock in the world's inland rivers.
Currently, the project has entered the final sprint stage. The project team is taking multiple measures to ensure targets and contribute to the construction of "Water Transport Jiangsu." First, a special on-site working group was established to "respond to on-site needs 24 hours a day," unifying the thoughts and actions of all personnel towards the sprint goal. Second, with a battle plan, more than 170 construction workers are working day and night to achieve seamless construction continuity and accelerate the construction pace. Third, fully leveraging the party branch's role as a fighting fortress and the pioneering role of party members, turning party building leadership into production momentum, achieving dual improvements in the skills of participating personnel and construction efficiency.
Relevant responsible comrades from the Ministry of Transport, provincial government, and provincial Department of Transportation participated in the research.
